The firm Alpha Consulting Engineers, Inc. was founded in San Antonio by Scott S. Tak in 1986 as Tak and Associates, Inc. Several key milestones include:

• In 1990, the company name was changed to Alpha Consulting Engineers, Inc.
• In 2018, the firm expanded with the addition of a North Texas office located in Plano.
• In 2025, Alpha further strengthened its Texas presence with the opening of our Austin office.
• Alpha has specialized in Structural Engineering since its inception.
